1. You feel you have most of your interior pieces in place, but things aren’t quite feeling right or finished OR you are selling your house and need to get it ready to show:

  • Design Dilemma Consultation: $250
    • 1.5 hour in-home consultation to tackle your design dilemmas
    • Review of trouble spots and discussion of on-the-spot solutions
    • Follow-up summary of what was discussed, any additional ideas, and links to sources to help you complete the project(s)
    • Includes as many rooms as can fit in the time allotted
  • Room Styling: $125/hour
    • .5-hour initial consultation to assess the space(s) in need of styling and the available inventory of items for styling
    • After assessment, I will share an estimate of time needed to complete the styling
    • Often selected as an add-on service after a Design Dilemma Consultation or Room Design

2. You need help figuring out how to design or revamp a space or you need To Select New Paint Colors for your home:

  • Room Design: $1000+
    • 1-hour in-home consultation that includes discussion of dreams/needs for the space, assessment of style, and determination of budget
    • Development of concept board (complete with specific furniture, paint, flooring, and textile recommendations), hand-drawn floor plan, source list, and project flow
    • 1-hour in-home meeting to review the step-by-step plan to change your space
  • Color Palette Development: $600+ (whole home)
    • 1-hour in-home consultation that includes review of current paint colors, discussion of likes/dislikes and assessment of style
    • Development of paint palette and procurement of large color boards
    • .5-hour in-home to review palette

3. You have heard wonderful things about Tess & Ted but don’t live in the Boston area:

  • Long Distance Room Design: $500+
    • 30-minute initial consultation by Skype or FaceTime
    • Discussion of dreams/needs for the space, assessment of style, and determination of budget
    • After initial consultation, client sends photos and room measurements/floor plan
    • Development of concept board (complete with specific furniture, paint, flooring, and textile recommendations), source list, and project flow*
    • 30-minute Skype/FaceTime meeting to review the step-by-step plan to change your space

*Long Distance Room Design does not include a hand-drawn floor plan

4. You need a piece of furniture, window treatments, a rug, or a specific accessory to make a room complete, but don’t have the time or interest to search for that piece.

  • Sourcing
    • Furniture, rugs, window treatments, and accessories: $125/hour
    • Client requests item(s) needed, sends photos, measurements of space, general style/color likes and dislikes, and budget parameters*
    • Client receives source board/list with 5-10 specific item options

*Clients will be given an estimate of time needed after receipt of the initial parameters.

5. You need built-ins. (Who doesn’t?)

  • Finish Carpentry
    • In-home consultation with Bill, Tess & Ted’s chief carpenter, to review space, discuss storage needs, assess style, and take rough measurements
    • After consultation, estimate is provided
    • Second in-home meeting with Bill to finalize measurements and carpentry design
    • Installation

6. You’re having a party and want your table to be amazing.

  • Tabletop Design: $125/hour
    • Client sends photos of table, measurements of space, general style/color likes and dislikes, number of guests, vibe of event, existing items that can be used, and budget parameters
    • Development of concept board (complete with recommendations for dinnerware, flatware, glassware, linens, and floral arrangements) and source list
    • If desired, implementation of table and floral design for $100/hour

7. You need a sounding board -- a friend who has great taste -- as you make design decisions.

  • Hourly consulting: $125/hour
